A recap of some of the fun and educational activities our younger, adult and transitions members got up to over February half term.
Newcastle Trip:
A fantastic day in Newcastle travelling by train, enjoying activities in the City Centre and a theatre visit to see David Walliams 'The Demon Dentist'. Funded by donations from Rotary Club of Durham UK
Darlington Hippodrome:
Our Adult Group had a brilliant night at Darlington Hippodrome Theatre enjoying music through the decades from 'That'll be the Day'. Thank you to everyone who donates and supports our fundraising efforts to make activities like this possible.
Transitions group activities:
Transitions Groups have had a busy time with a treasure hunt & meal in Durham City, Bowling at Lane 7, Splashability Swim Session at Spennymoor Leisure Centre, Pancake Day Activities, Pizza Hut, Learning about National Love your Pet Day, Comfy Day, Leadership Day and Muffin Day and Games & Dance for Brazilian Carneval Week with lots of healthy snacks, drinks and meals. Funded by DCC Fun and Food
Junior Group have had some lovely sessions with a visit to the local shops, the park, making food together, sensory time, role play and games funded by DCC Fun and Food
Our Adult Groups have had a great time coming together to take part in a mix of fun and learning activities as part of their Life Skills Sessions with Shopping Challenge in Durham, Group Meals, Bowling & Drinks, Swimming, Leadership Skills, Finding out about National Days this week and Shrove Tuesday as well asgreat teamwork and supporting each other.
Our Adults Group finished their Holiday Programme with a Sing Along 'Grease' Afternoon with food, drinks and dancing
